In a statement to the Ghana News Agency in Accra, Mr Rob Binns, World Air Holdings Chief Marketing Officer, said North American business class route would start from April 14, while its carrier operating flight starts from June 3.

Mr Binns said customers in the Business Class section of its Boeing 767-300ER would enjoy an all-leather seating with 55-inch seat pitch, 135-degrees recline and 100 hours of on-demand, in-flight entertainment.

"Our customers have been asking for increased service to Ghana and the addition of a Business Class cabin," said Binns. "We are pleased to be able to meet their demands."

According to Mr Binns, North American Airlines has a 15-year record of financially successful operations, offering both charter and scheduled service.

North American is a U.S.-certificated air carrier, offering air transportation services throughout the world for the U.S. military and commercial customers.

Founded in 1989, North American has 600 employees and operates a fleet of eight passenger aircraft in charter and scheduled service.

The new weekly flight schedules are: Depart JFK 1500 hours on Saturdays and Wednesdays and arrives in Accra at 0530 hours on Sundays and Thursdays respectively.

Whiles its departure time from Kotoka International Airport is scheduled at 1130 hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays respectively and arrives at JFK at 1830 hours same day.
